To lament – without spoken words – the ongoing destruction of lives in Gaza

Creating a sacred space for everyone to grieve and lament

the ongoing destruction of lives in Gaza.

KINGSTON, NY, MARCH 20 - The Peace Education Center of the Hudson Valley, Old Dutch Church, and the Social Action Committee of the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of the Catskills invite the general public to a spiritual but not religious event to lament – without spoken words – the ongoing destruction of lives in Gaza, where U.S. military aid contributes to unspeakable harm.

On Thursday, March 28, during the hours of 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., everyone is encouraged to drop in for a visit to the sanctuary of Old Dutch Church, 272 Wall Street, Kingston, NY.

Visitors are invited to forgo a meal, in solidarity with people who have insufficient food and water. Instead of breakfast, lunch, or dinner, visitors are welcome to sit in quiet reflection, listen to solemn music, offer a prayer, light a candle for peace, and create birds with the names of Palestinian children who have died.
