Bard College in New York is about to decide if it will punish two students, Ben and Akiva, for protesting an anti-Palestinian speaker on campus. The students have been told that they could face serious academic or enrollment repercussions.
Akiva and Ben are being threatened with punishment because they were standing up for Palestinian rights and against racism when they protested a talk on campus that featured an anti-Palestinian speaker. They have every right to protest. And their free speech should be protected, not silenced.
